At the Loerie was built in 1883, one of the first buildings of purpose to be built in a newly developing town.  Knysna has since grown and developed and this unique guesthouse has too...

 

At the Loerie is located in the heart of Knysna's CBD.

We are a short walk to restaurants, The Waterfront and supermarkets/shops.

​

At The Loerie is a charming and characterful home, with a long rich history of  guests.

​

Each bedroom is individually designed.

At the Loerie has nine bedrooms.

Seven are en-suite and our two  Econommy  bedrooms share a bathroom.

 

We offer a comfortable lounge area with TV.

Our tea and coffee station is situated in this communal area where guests can help themselves to tea and coffee.

 

There is a fully equipped shared kitchen where our guests can prepare a meal .

Knysna is on the foodie map.

When eating out you are spoilt for choice.

 

Two large verandas are furnished with seating and outdoor sofas.

 

We share our yard with an emporium of second hand and restored furniture, it's a treasure trove on our door step. 

This also adds a nice element of activity to the week days when the store is open.
